Mission Codename Her name is TRIO and she dances on the sand
Succulent, concentrated, and savory…
All keywords we love to see in wine descriptions. Also, seeing “Howell Mountain” on a bottle makes our hearts go pitter-patter.
Drop the price by almost HALF OFF we just about go into an uncontrolled frenzy. 93 points, too (plus 92 from Mr. Dunnuck)!?
That’s to be expected from the winemaking genius of Philip Titus - of his family’s own plus COHO, and Chappellet - the one that Wine Business called “one of the New World’s most distinguished winemakers, and a master at crafting mountain-grown wines.”
At its release price of $75, the value is already baked in. Yesterday you could find it for as low as $60 at some places. Today, as always, we’ve got the best price anywhere!
Considering many Howell Mountain wines go for $75-150 or much more, this price is basically criminal at about half the retail.
In fact, a recent article on Robb Report – the lifestyle magazine of the rich and the famous – named Bravante as one of “The 9 Best Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons from the Storied Howell Mountain Appellation” and among the “small volume cult wines that take a little work to acquire.”
Well, we did that work for ya, Operatives.
This blend of Cabernet, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc is nothing short of explosive. Rugged and bold, full of fruit and layered complexity. One of those ‘oh sh*t’ big mountain reds that transports you with one taste. Generous. Silky. Potent. Heady. Anyone who loves full-throttle reds should be all over it. Heavily discounted Howell Mountain reds tend to have a short half-life around here though. Don’t be late.
ALL THAT and more at our price!
93 Points – James Suckling
“A full, rich red with blackberry, blueberry and black-mushroom aromas and flavors. It’s layered and velvety with nice tannins and intensity at the end. Give it two or three years to come together. Try after 2022.”
92 Points – Jeb Dunnuck
”The 2018 Red Blend Trio checks in as a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, and close to 10% each of Cabernet Franc and Malbec, with the balance Petit Verdot. Lots of mulberries, red plums, tapenade, tobacco, and roasted herb notes all emerge from this beauty, which hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a round and expansive texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. As Bordeaux blends from Napa go, it’s a pretty darn good value to enjoy over the coming 10-12 years.”
