At $135 from the winery (and that’s just about the ONLY place you’ll find it) this won’t let you down.

But at $49, and over 60% OFF from us? It’s a monumental score that will take down many a $150 Cabernet if tasted blind.

Maybe it’s the dynamic winemaking duo of Silver Oak alum Massimo Monticelli and Mark Herold, the man, the myth, the legend. Fun fact - when I moved to Napa 15+ years ago (!) Massimo’s Cabernet was one of the first wines I bought. I had a glass of it at Don Giovanni and emailed him soon after - he hand-delivered 3 bottles to my house.

As for Mark Herold, he’s one of the larger personalities in the winemaking game, with countless 95+ point wines under his belt. From his own Mark Herold Wines to his work at Joseph Phelps, and Merus, or the projects he consults on, you can rely on him to turn loose one blockbuster, hedonistic crowd-pleaser after another.

As for this, it meets very much in the middle, showing enough restraint to keep the classic Cab lovers happy, while still flashing a very plush and extracted personality. It’s rich and sexy, with dark, sweet fruit and superb polish on the mouthfeel. Layer upon layer of purple and black fruit, with violets, black currant, cherry compote, candied walnuts, and vanilla-laced tobacco leaf. Very soft mouthfeel with a glycerin-like texture, too. Just totally sexy stuff that will easily outclass many Cabs 2-3x the price.

This is seriously one of the most legit deals we’ve found all year. And it will leave an indelible impression on you. If you liked the Frias, Ehlers, or similar cult-y boutique finds from Napa, you will LOVE this. No ratings or reviews but easily hits the 95-100 vibes being a 2018 you know, no fruit sources disclosed either, but they only source from a few that must be represented in here, Sleeping Lady, Oakville Ranch, and Caldwell.

Not much made, and even less sitting in our warehouse. As the name implies, be wise and stake your claim!
