Mission Codename BB10
Here are just a few cases of Renaudin’s most affordable, yet still spectacular NV cuvée! Described by the importer as such: “Our debut ‘vintage’ of this cuvée was 2008, which was a hard act to follow. But Renaudin rose to the occasion and harnessed all that was possible from the seductive 2009 vintage. Now 2010 comes with its characteristic silvery glint. The nose is markedly expressive, while the palate is broad yet taut. This will be another long-distance runner.” So, it’s essentially a vintage wine concealed as a non!
Finding great Grower Champagne is always a challenge. Finding one for OVER HALF OFF? One that struts like Krug or seduces like Vilmart? Today is the day we’ve accomplished the impossible. The implausible. The improbable. In a move straight from King Henry’s playbook, we’re bringing you FOUR incredible Champagnes today - one after another, until they’re no more.
Like many a love story, this discovery came down to fate.
Agent Noir and family were in San Francisco and happened to pop into a favorite local wine store. Inexplicably, he was drawn to this super traditional-looking bottle of grower Champagne he wasn’t familiar with. But he knew the importer well. So, the following day he reached out to ask about it…
But let’s rewind the tape. EXACTLY by 300 years to 1724 when a French count founded the House of Renaudin. Later in 1829, a Renaudin partnered with Renaudin-Bollinger which later became Bollinger! Fast-forward to today, Dominique Tellier-Renaudin and his family continue to bottle extraordinary Champagnes in the sleepy little hamlet of Moussy, in the heart of Vallée de la Marne.
With holdings bordering the Côte des Blancs, Blanc de Blancs is their specialty style. That means 100% Chardonnay, with extended tirage, and low to zero dosage. The result? Bubbles that are more wine than sparkling yet with electrifying acidity, and a rich, creamy mouthfeel… sensual wines that shock and comfort your palate at the same time.
Join us on a trip to the Côte des Blancs with four Champagnes today. We’ll roll out one after another. With so little imported to begin with, we could only get our hands on so much. Yet the prices are unreal, their vintage wines cost far less than most NV cuvées from the bigger names.
Grower Champagne goes quick so claim yours fast.
