Mission Codename Ville blow minds

I mean… c’mon. RAYMOND. Everybody loves Raymond. The show AND the wine.

Especially at 70% off retail!

This is a huge win for us, and we’re thrilled, to say the least: Raymond’s Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon with big scores and a big discount. For you and you only, Dear Operative.

This is 100% Coombsville and it is dripping with all the glory that you love from the legendary AVA. Wine Spectator calls it, “…textbook Coombsville… backed by tannic grip.” Yummy indeed and right up any true Cab lover’s alley!

A pioneer dating back to 1970, Raymond’s holdings now comprise of 300 acres in Rutherford, St Helena, and Coombsville. Among other glorious bottlings, they feature single district blends from the best blocks of each specific AVA. It is a great example of exactly what each sub region is best at.

Five generations created and evolved this Napa icon. Today, its enduring reputation for elegant and powerful wines is under the highly accomplished hands of Jean-Charles Boisset. Per Robert Parker “The quality of the wines has soared under Boisset’s helmsmanship. Much to his credit, Raymond has returned to the fold as one of the benchmark, classic estates in all of Napa.”

Credit also due to winemaking genius Stephanie Putnam. She boasts many harvests at Far Niente and Hess Collection and innumerable accolades including Top 100 hits with Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Cabernet of the Year by The Wine News.

This is a great example of all that Coombsville can do. Put on the map by visionaries like Andy Erickson and Paul Hobbs, it’s truly the next frontier for Napa’s greatness to shine brighter. With a relatively cooler climate, the appellation boasts complexity and intensity that only a long slow ripening can bring. Broody blackberry preserves, fresh leather, and cocoa nibs draw you into the glass. Rich, lush tannins keep you there and wrap you up into ripe plums, dried herbs, and sweet pine hints. A truly enjoyable experience now with food, or absolutely one to age too.

Still a bit shocked to have this stunner in our hands. But it won’t be here for long at under $40!

94 Points – Wine Enthusiast “This ripe, inviting and full-bodied wine blends red and black cherries, cocoa and cinnamon on a full body wrapped in velvety tannins. Enjoyable now for its richness and warm, mouthfilling texture, it can also age. Best 2026-2036.”

92 Points – Wine Spectator “Tightly focused, with a textbook Coombsville Cabernet profile of black currant fruit, singed tobacco and cast-iron notes backed by tannic grip. Shows solid length and drive for the vintage, too. 476 cases made. Best from 2024 through 2035.”
