Olive Truck is BACK. When we first partnered with Sam last year in May, it was a huge success. Since then, we’ve been on stand-by for the next harvest, to bring you another astounding deal. The best extra virgin olive oil money can buy at a fraction of its cost.
This traditional “Tuscan field blend” comes from a single grove right here in the heart of our Sonoma County, just off Green Valley Road, the coolest part of Russian River Valley, surrounded by vineyards and famed wines by Iron Horse, Hartford Court, DuMOL, Paul Hobbs, Dutton-Goldfield… you name it!
The monocultivar Frantoio we introduced Olive Truck with forms the core blend, with other indigenous Tuscan cultivars, namely Leccino and Pendolino adding layers of complexity. Leccino is famous for its delicate aromas, of almond, freshly cut grass, and mild spiciness, while Pendolino is named after the Italian word for ‘pendulum’ thanks to its crucial role as an excellent pollinator. The grove was harvested and milled together, making it a field blend, just like in old vine Zins or Petite Sirahs. Per Sam, this fresh 2024 oil harvested just a couple of months ago attains “a perfect balance of pungency, bitterness, and rich, fruity notes with a pleasant peppery finish.”
It was at a local farmer’s market encounter one fateful summer day where we discovered Olive Truck. You know how much we love entrepreneurship around here, and brave ones who think outside the box. Olive Truck is such an innovative idea that it’s unfathomable no one else thought of it before Sam.

So instead of hauling olives across the state for miles on end, Olive Truck is a boutique mobile milling concept that travels to where the groves are, instead of having the olives travel to facilities far, far away, to press, and bottle Extra Virgin Olive Oil right at the source, assuring zero attrition to the quality and sense of place along the way.
