Mission Codename P is for Perfect
Stop. What. You’re. Doing. Pinot lovers come hither! An epic deal from a tiny producer you’re about to fall head over heels for!
Paro Wines is a boutique producer with as much finesse as the big boys with none of the ego. Patrick Murray, owner and winemaker, started his journey as many of the best winemakers do. In his backyard. Batch by batch and vintage by vintage, he honed his skill and crafted his brand. With a focus on minimalism winemaking style, he believes little intervention brings a celebration of place.
Sonoma Mountain is one of the gems in Sonoma County and a true Spy oasis. Rockstars like Russell Bevan call this place home, too, btw. Rising above the town of Glen Ellen, it gets sun exposure more of the day with a significant cooling effect at night. This means bright fruit and acid retention- a great combination!
And this wine has it all. Strawberry, rhubarb pie, cherry cola, black cherry, forest floor, cola and dried mushrooms. With an intensity on the alluring nose draws you into the glass like a cartoon character following the scent of Grandma’s pie. On the palate, you find tannins so silky and fresh surrounded by raspberry and a mélange of herb notes.
Honestly, this is a wine could fetch closer to $75+ under other labels. It sure makes for an EPIC deal at 64% off! I mean…. we’ve bought sandwiches for more money than we’re asking for this today!
And you know what boutique means…. Not enough wine to go around. Hundreds of cases made. Many less than that left…Get to it fast!
