OOHHHHH! GUESS WHAT?! By POPULAR demand, Öömrang is back!

And we are honored to be offering the first to offer the critically acclaimed 2023 vintage. These wines have been discovered since we first offered them a year ago.

Our first offering of Öömrang broke records. Namely the most Spy purchased wine ever!

The Spies weren’t the only major fans of the last Öömrang we offered either. Check out these comments from the Facebook group (which you should totally be a part of if you aren’t already).

Well, we heard you! So we went back to the winery and begged for more!

The new vintage has been truly discovered by the critics too. The set has blown up multiple awards shows, earning Double Golds and Judge’s hearts at the Las Vegas Global Awards, the Food and Beverage Proof Awards and, a personal favorite, the San Francisco International Wine Competition. That’s not to mention the mid 90s scores across the board!

According to Wikipedia *“Amrum Frisian, also known as Öömrang, is the dialect of the North Frisian language spoken on the island of Amrum in the North Frisia region of Germany. Öömrang refers to the Öömrang Frisian name of Amrum, which is Oomram.”

Müller-Thurgau, with its own sexy ümlaüt, is a cross between Riesling and Madeleine Royal and rarely is seen outside of Germany. Created in 1882 by Dr. Herman Müller (of Thurgau, Switzerland), the highest end version of the grape are similar to a high end Riesling with so much personality.

Pear and white flower aromas lead into rose, apricot, citrus and minerality on the palate. A white wine for interesting white wine drinkers for sure. This is dry in style and offers layers upon layers of citrus, tropical fruit and flowers. A wow wine indeed!

Öömrang is on the downlow in comparison still. The intel by local independent publications like Great Northwest Wine praise the whole operation and Sip Magazine talking up “unique German grape varietals, including ones rare in the Pacific Northwest like Siegerrebe and Muller-Thurgau and the almost-unfindable Kerner and Sylvaner. If you are looking for a bottle to enjoy, currently Öömrang features a range of sunshine-y approachable whites.” Add in the Winery of the Year for 2023 and the Century Award from Pr%f Magazine and a solid 94 from the Tasting Panel.
