Mission Codename If he hollers, let him go
What happened to the 2013 happened to the 2014: speedy sellout.
We do have one more vintage, fast forward and skip 2015-2017… and onto the 2018!
Not one. Not two. But THREE vintages of Miner Stagecoach Cabernet plucked straight from the dark winery library and into the light of day on your favorite website. Each one is over 60% OFF.
When we sold the Oracle last, it rocketed up the charts as one of the top offers of last year. If that and the 2013’s disappearing act are any indications, we know these sell out quickly…
If you want classic, aged Napa Cab, it doesn’t get much better. Gary Brookman (Mueller, Grace Family) and Stacy Vogel (Cain, Ledson) crafted a beautiful example. Stagecoach-sourced Cabernet clocks in at 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc. And it’s as classic as they come. This spot on CellarTracker note says it all; “paired it with a spectacular Snake River Farms Ribeye Steak grilled on my Weber with some roasted potatoes, green beans & salad. Amazing!!! Damn, I’m in Wine/Food Coma right now!”
The price is no less staggering considering the source. Stagecoach Cabernet doesn’t come cheap. As one of Napa’s most legendary sites, this rugged mountaintop connecting Pritchard Hill with Atlas Peak, on the eastern slopes, powers some of the most serious Cabernets. It has the elevation, the exposure, the volcanic soils, and the ability to command $125-200 or more for many of the wines grown here.
What a loveable vintage 2018 is, as you Cab savvy Ops know. Especially in the classical sensibility Miner Cabs are finished in, time did wonders here, with some fine age in the library cellar. Wine Spectator rated the 2018 harvest just 1 point shy of perfection, calling it “a spectacular year, with wines that are rich and dark, but detailed, restrained in style and very terroir-driven” just like this stunner here. Clean us out, you will not regret it, only if you get here too late and this too is gone.
Been saying it all day - we have VERY LITTLE of these. And also, this is THE FINAL Miner Stagecoach, the library will be squeaky clean once this too sells out.
93 Points – Wine Spectator “This has a large-scaled core of currant and blackberry fruit laced liberally with licorice root, bramble, and dark tobacco notes. A serious, iron-edged grip courses underneath it all, driving this through a lengthy finish. Bit of a throwback style here. 654 cases made. Best from 2023 through 2034.”
