Built on the massive site of the old Calistoga Mineral Water Company, its custom crush facility is quickly becoming a haven for top winemakers. As Wine Spectator explains, “the facility is 125,000 square feet (nearly three acres!), making it one of the largest, if not the largest, sites devoted to winemaking I’ve ever been in. As we walked from one enormous room to another, it was easy to see how useful the facility is for Museion’s few dozen clients. The space was somehow both busy and quiet. Bottling trucks can comfortably drive in and fit inside. Equipment is widely spaced. It’s perhaps a bit bare bones, but that’s part of its appeal. I’ve never heard a winemaker wish they had less space to work in.”
