Mission Codename Lot 22 of 2 brothers & 2 clones
Our brand new SoCoBA lots just in for Appy Friday!
Granted, we bid and won these for you at the 2024 auction, but good things take time in this business of fine wine. The wineries are just letting us know that the goods are at their prime peak for enjoyment, so here we go…
Lot #22: From none other than our dear friends at Domaine de la Rivière! At the previous SoCoBA, it was their collaboration with Tolosa that we scored, and this is at the very least at par with that one, if not slightly more fascinating and unique “family style” lot. Winemaker Kale Anderson worked, for the first time, with the two children of the proprietors, the young and dynamic brothers Duff and Zak. With access to amazing vineyards, they chose their home site and two specific clones that outshone others.
Sonoma County is the birthplace of Wine Spies, and we’ll never leave this slice of heaven. It truly is a bucolic, verdant home to some very special producers. The diversity and brilliance of these world-class wineries rival the greatest on earth. And today you have a unique opportunity to sample some of their very best efforts.
After months of waiting anxiously, these wines have landed. And they’re all yours. A handful of cases of each one. These once-in-a-lifetime lots sell out fast, as they are the absolute best efforts of wineries and winemakers that make Sonoma special. They are one-off experiences that simply cannot be replicated or found ANYWHERE else.
As Sonoma County Vintners wrote in the catalog; “We are excited to share the incredible diversity of creative and world-class “Never Before, Never Again” Sonoma County wines that our extraordinary vintners have handcrafted specifically for this year’s 10th Anniversary SoCoBA.”
THANK YOU for your continued support of Sonoma County wineries and wines!
