Mission Codename It's alive!
When we really love a winery, we invite them back again and again to show us their wines. Over the last six plus years, we have featured wines from Bonneau Winery numerous times. Always, we are given free reign to select their very best.
Today’s 2009 Bonneau Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel is a youthful, vibrant and approachable wine that lends itself to a wide variety of food pairings. If you are looking for a great Thanksgiving Zin, you’ll be well advised to try this one. The acids are perfectly balanced, giving the wine a brightness that will compliment most complex flavors - while not overpowering the palate with the overly bold flavors that are often found in many California Zins.
Be sure to decant this wine, as it starts off a little shy. After some hearty swirling, it really springs to life, filling out with dark fruit flavors that were initially missing from the mid-palate.
P.S. How do you like our new look?!
