Mission Codename Kian you believe that?

“This beauty should keep for a solid decade.” – Jeb Dunnuck

It’s doing exactly that, Jeb, with charm - and $60 to spare.

Faustini Fiends! Yes, yes, you Operative, who just won’t give up asking for more Secret Veil. We’ve seen the posts in the group and heard the clamoring for more. If you had any of the previous Faustini, or you simply fancy yourself someone who enjoys “terrific purity, and a great finish,” look no further…

We all know E = mc² is a fact. Relatively speaking (ba dum tss), then how come M² = E as in Excellence?

As in an equal parts blend of Malbec and Merlot from Beckstoffer Las Amigas and Stagecoach Vineyards, with “M²” as its proprietary name, which works like the Theory of Relativity, there’s no easy disputing its deliciousness and how well it’s drinking now, making those double 93 points look conservative. It’s reminiscent of a Pomerol, seductive and structured at the same time, red and black berries galore, with all the benefits of 7 years of impeccable cellaring at the winery that adds layers of savory complexity.

Another insane 60% OFF a Faustini deal with accolades from the same meticulous winemaking and impeccable fruit sources (like Beckstoffer & Stagecoach, hello?)

Don’t let the plain old “Napa Cab” label fool you; this is their actual flagship wine, hot and rare as any of their releases, and made by Clos du Val and Opus One alum Kian Tavakoli.

Fausitini is one of those insider gem secret wineries that quietly racks up big accolades each year. And with some time in the library, their wines have a proven track record to sweep you off your feet. This 2019 could not be a better example. It’s a blend from their top barrels coming from all over the cult-following sites of the valley, north to south, and is a true showcase of Napa’s greatness.

Tech tycoons turned vintners, Anthony and Michelle Faustini, are true perfectionists. Enough to end up on the short list of wineries with access to highly allocated vineyards. Napa Wine Project recites the story: “Anthony Faustini has been a wine collector for many years. Looking to transition from serious collector to winemaker, he began his research on Long Island in New York, visiting wineries and trying numerous wines. Looking to expand his palate and wanting to make a California wine, he came to Napa Valley, where he was introduced to Crushpad when they were located in San Francisco. Faustini’s first commercial vintage was tiny - merely 50 cases from the Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena.”

Similarly, like all Faustini releases, especially those from the library, this is LIMITED, fair warning.

93 Points – Jeb Dunnuck “Beautiful, with loads of blue fruits, peppery herbs, and some chocolaty notes, the 2019 Red Blend M2 is medium to full-bodied, has terrific purity, and a great finish. The blend is equal parts Malbec and Merlot, and the Malbec certainly plays center stage at this point. This beauty should keep for a solid decade. Drink 2022-2032.”

93 Points – James Suckling “Aromas of toasted walnut, blackcurrant and baked plum. Full-bodied with silky tannins. Lovely black-fruited palate with nice, steady intensity and approach. Elegant. A hint of sweetness in the mid-palate. Delicious. Best after 2024.”
