Kosta Browne even took Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year using Terra de Promissio fruit in their Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. That’s not a coincidence. That’s a fruit source and one that has earned over 20 scores of 90+ since its very first harvest in 2005.

What makes it special? Two words: Petaluma Gap. A natural wind tunnel carved through the coastal mountains with cold Pacific air and fog funneling straight into the vines every single day. Every wine has a story. This one just happens to be true. A husband and wife ran out of money before their vineyard ever produced a single grape. The wife called her dad in Russia. Vadim Zarr, son of a WWII pilot. He had one response: “Stop crying. If I can drive a Soviet tank, I can drive an American tractor.”

Sunup to sundown. Seven days a week. Three years straight. He saved the vineyard with his bare hands, and they named it Terra de Promissio. The Promised Land. He kept every one of them.

We tasted this Pinot Noir as a team, as always. The room went quiet. Then everyone reached for more UNANIMOUS WIN …rarely does that happen!

Dried raspberry, red cherry, wild strawberry, dried rose, whisper of minerality. Aromas are so inviting that you almost don’t want to stop smelling your glass. And when you do?
