The price of Napa Cabernet has skyrocketed over the years. Last I checked, it was something like $108 PER BOTTLE. I reckon you’d have to rewind about thirty years to find one at this price!

Miner Family, for those who know, has long been established on the Silverado Trail up valley. From their Oakville outpost they’ve been churning out classic, age-worthy Napa Cabs since the 70s. One of the longest family-run, boutique producers in Napa, they focus on small lot artisan wines. Winemaker Stacy Vogel has been leading the charge there since 2001 and consistently earns them 90+ scores year in, year out. Oh, and she’s one of the longest tenured winemakers at a single winery in the valley - like the Tom Brady of her game she just doesn’t quit.

What does it taste like? Dark cherries, red currants, and black raspberry at its core. Juicy, blood orange brightness keeps it lively. Smoother than Leonardo DiCaprio at a sorority house with a finish that goes on like the wait for the final Game of Thrones book. No wonder it got 93 points from Decanter, who called it ‘dangerously easy-going’. Nailed it!

Like all deals this good, there’s a limit on how much we have. And it will not last!

93 Points - Decanter “(to be published April 2026) Such a pretty Cabernet from a vintage that turned out typically dark-fruited wines, with lots of toasty oak influence. Here, there is a minty freshness layered with red berry fruits, a hint of dark chocolate, and subtle cedar wood accents. The first sip reveals a cherry-fruited, Asian-spiced, velvety textured red, livened by a spine of juicy, blood orange acidity, and finishing with earthy, graphite minerality. Really quite refreshing and dangerously easy-going.”
