Mission Codename Like a Bigger Hurricane
You found the Flagship… the mother of all Storms!
‘Northern Gale,’ the second wine of Stormy Weather, is from Coombsville, while the Stormy Weather ‘Stormy Weather’ is from a Calistoga single vineyard, planted primarily to Clone 7 Cabernet Sauvignon. Compared to the Northern Gale, it’s more of everything. Bigger, bolder, richer, more STORMY.
Most of y’all know Cam Woodbridge and his full throttle Cabernets well by now. Op raves abound: “Grab one of the best QPR Cabs if you don’t have any. One of my favorite Wine Spies offerings.” or “The best bottle of cab I’ve had for this price from Wine Spies.”
Was $95. Now with $50 OFF. A must-have for lovers of lush, plush, flashy Napa Cab, of the MANY that come and go, a few stand out as clear winners. This one generated countless rave comments, and more than one lamenting, “I only got one bottle and should have bought more…”
Truth is, you can spend A LOT more on big, pumped-up Napa Cabernet, but they won’t get much better than this. If you’ve had the previous ‘Stormies,’ you already know the deal and are rapidly forging ahead through the checkout.
Many of you know Hundred Acre, the cult favorite. Yes, that $800 Cab we featured in a Marathon for 11 seconds. Those prolific and near perfect Cabernets by Jayson Woodbridge, the man, the myth. But did you know his brother Cameron Woodbridge also makes badass wine in a runs-in-the-family full-throttle, all-or-nothing style?!
Cameron worked alongside his brother and Philippe Melka, who consulted for Hundred Acre at the time, back in 2005. He honed his skills and broke out to make similarly opulent, hedonistic, high-scoring Cabs.
But wait… there’s one BIG difference…
The price. You can get a full case of this today for the price of a single bottle of Hundred Acre.
Like barometric pressure, inventory is plummeting. Make your moves before the Storms pass.
95 Points – The Wine Independent “The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stormy Weather is deep garnet-purple in color. It leaps with vibrant blackcurrant and juicy blackberry notes plus wafts of wild sage, lavender, and cedar chest. The full-bodied palate is bold and beautiful, with a velvety texture and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy. Drink 2024-2044.”
