Today’s 2007 Kest Wines Meritage is a delictable Bordeaux varietal blend that is an exciting and lovely departure from our usual California fare.
Bright, juicy, dark fruit presents across the entire palate, balanced beautifully against an even measure of earth and spice. This wine is complex on the palate and vibrant on the nose.
Enjoy this approachable wine all on its own, or with a wide variety of foodie fare.
Dark garnet, with a deep and foreboding core of inky opaque purple.
Dark and complex with a plethora of rich aromas. These include chocolate covered cherry, camphor, black cherry, leather, dark baking spice and blackberry compote. These are followed by subtle rosemary, leather and dried earth elements.
Juicy and ripe, with dark mixed berry juice that sits atop bramble, espresso bean, dark chocolate, black tea leaf and cedar.
Long and exciting, with bright fruit gradually giving way to earth and wild dried herbs as a softly spreading dryness moves across the palate.
This bright Australian delight would be divine with a roasted rosemary garlic duck breast.

Amongst the undulating hills, centuries old eucalyptus trees and moss covered rocks, bush vines thrive in a loam soil on clay. This is a unique medium bodied wine with a taste of cherries any hint of wild herbs. Hand-picked and kissed by the Australian son, enjoy this wine at any occasion

About the Winery
The Kest vineyard is located in the famous South Australian wine producing region, the Barossa council. Technically in this region, the vineyard’s higher elevation combined with the traditional growing and production methods utilized produce a uniquely complex medium bodied red wine.
