2009 Single Vineyard Reserva Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc •Santa Victoria Vineyard
Chile: Colchagua Valley
Today’s Viña Valdivieso 2007 Single Vineyard Reserva Cabernet Franc is an absolute treat for any Cab Franc fan.
Hailing from one of the oldest vineyards in the majestic Valle de Colchagua, today’s wine is a full bodied gem that’s bursting with dark fruit and lovely hints of terroir. The wonderful texture and acidity in the finish make this an exceptional wine to pair with a wide range of foods. We chose a roast leg of lamb and couldn’t have been happier.
At over 25% off, this exceptional Franc won’t last long. Better act fast!
Vivid dark ruby from its core to the edge, with hints of violet throughout.
Bold dark fruit notes of blackberry and darm plum, trailed by notes of espresso bean, dried fall leaves, sweet vanilla spice, and freshly cracked black peppercorns.
Very refined and well balanced, with plum, black cherry, and boysenberry complemented by sweet tobacco leaf, earthy mushroom, dark baking spices, and a hint of sage and rosemary.
Silky and smooth on the palate, with good texture and just the right amount of grippy tannins.
A leg of lamb, braised in a delicious mixture of red wine, orange zest, and honey.
