This thrilling wine is presented in a Burgundy-style bottle, rather than a traditional Sauvignon Blanc bottle. We’re intrigued.
A super pale, straw yellow through and through.
Crisp and aromatic, with green apple, white peach, orange zest, lemon grass, sweet vanilla, and a slight hint of buttery brioche.
Very refreshing, with flavors very similar to the nose, higlighted by subtle notes of sweet fruit, citrus, and brioche.
This is a very approachable and easy drinking wine, with a wonderful crispness on the palate. Just the right amount of acidity to pair very well with foods.
A homemade veggie pizza, with whole wheat dough, fresh mozzarella, scallions, and shaved asparagus.
What the Winery Says
The 2010 California harvest was challenging but growersand winemakers were relieved and enthusiastic about the quality. A wet spring followed by a late start and long, cool growing season ending with a heat spike allowed grapes to reach maturity, with several regions reporting slightly lower sugars, higher acids and deep colors and flavors.
Our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc is elegantly crisp and refershing with hints of grass, lemon, and green apple.

About the Winery
We are a family-owned and operated California winery located in beautiful Sonoma County. The Kobler family have been wine growers for over two generations, and we honor our grandparents’ legacy by continuing the tradition of growing and producing fine, small-production wines.
We specialize in Rhone and Burgundian varietals and craft vineyard and valley-designate wines in a style that focuses on delicate flavors with vivid, yet balanced, notes of fruit and spice.
In the mid 1990′s the Koblers bought a five-acre apple farm in the lower Russian River Valley. Mike and his brother could see the region, known as “Green Valley” was perfect to grow cold-climate Syrah, and so they did. The Syrah grown in this region creates a unique flavor profile and the ability to produce 90+ point wines.
In 2000, the Koblers began selling their fruit to Pax Winery. The winemaker had a passion for Rhône wines and the Kobler grapes proved to be a perfect fit. In 2003, Pax scored a 95 for his Kobler Family Vineyards Pax Syrah. In 2009, The Koblers created Kobler Estate Winery, allowing them to share their passion with the public. The wines showcase a love of the vineyard and a desire to create handcrafted wines.
Winemaker Brian Kobler
Brian Kobler, with his 15 years of professional winemaking experience, works to ensure that each wine is made with attentiveness and excellence. Michael Kobler’s oldest son, he has made a name for himself as a winemaker in the valley. Bryan’s passion for winemaking is evident at first sip. His passion for creating both traditional and experimental wines is well known. “I grew up working in my Grandfather’s Dry Creek Sauv Blanc vineyard,” he says, “and turned my Father’s hobby into my profession. In my 15 years in the industry I had the privilege to learn from great winemakers at companies such as Korbel, Geyser Peak, and Clos Dubois. I strive to make the best possible wine from the best possible fruit.”
