2011 TRUEBLOOD Carneros Napa Valley Chardonnay
California: Napa Valley: Carneros
Love at first sip
Today’s 2011 TRUEBLOOD Carneros Napa Valley Chardonnay marks a welcome return for Vampire Vineyards, who have wowed us once again with their exquisite white wine.
Possessing an incredibly lush and lavish mouthfeel, this is one luxurious Chardonnay. Our tasting panel raved about the notes of tangerine and orange blossom that seem to leap straight from the glass.
We highly recommend stocking up on this one for the warmer months. Just be sure not to pair this wine with too much garlic!
Golden hued and viscous, reminiscent of summer sunshine.
Refined and very elegant, with white peach and honeydew melon slowly trailed by orange oil, white flower petal, and subtle caramel.
Downright luxurious on the palate, with hints of tangerine, baked Granny Smith apple, and orange blossom laid overtop sweet lemongrass, lavender leaf, and honeycomb.
Very full, with an incredibly pleasant mouthfeel, the finish features plenty of smooth and silky fruit notes that only slowly fade away.
A perfect pairing with a crab salad, served with a creamy avocado and dill dressing.
What the Winery Says
This artisan style Chardonnay was made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from our vineyards in Carneros. The grapes were fermented in French Oak Barrels for 9 months before bottling, resulting in an elegant and luscious wine with apple, pear and tropical fruits, with hints of spice framed by caramel and creamy vanilla notes on the finish.

About the Winery
Rumor has it that the Vampire Vineyards are actually owned by a circle of vampires and our company’s founder, Michael Machat, an entertainment attorney from New York, is actually just a front. Whether he and his convertible were commandeered by a Vampire is still a subject for debate. The truth may never be known, but we do know however that Michael first began talking about branding wine with the vampire Mark back in 1985 after picking up a mysterious hitch-hiker on a late night drive through the pitch black Nevada desert.
