Mission Briefing
The Nobles
Is it just us, or did summer seem to sneak up on us a little early this year? To combat these higher temps, Agent Red has scored a gem of a white wine in today’s Three Knights Vineyards 2012 Russian River Valley Chardonnay.
Budget friendly in price, but certainly not in quality, today’s Chard drinks like many of its higher priced brethren. Lush, exotic fruit notes of guava and pineapple are the perfect complement to rising temperatures - and provide just the right amount of oomph.
Beach towel, sunscreen, and today’s under $24 gem - the perfect recipe for a day at the park!
Tasting Profile
Look: | Pale golden hued throughout the glass, with a touch of viscosity along the rim. |
---|---|
Smell: | Lovely and aromatic, with hints of ripe white peach and honeydew paired with sweet lemongrass, vanilla bean, and a touch of a soft herbal undercurrent. |
Taste: | Super ripened pineapple, banana, and guava lead the way on this delicious Chard. These fruity notes are trailed by touches of lime zest, sweet vanilla, butterscotch, and just a hint of fresh mint. |
Finish: | Very smooth on the finish, with the ripened fruit notes slowly fading until just a hint of soft herbs remains on the tongue. |
Pairing: | Fresh shrimp sautéed with garlic, served atop pasta. |
