Tasting Profile
Look: | Ruby red through and through, with flecks of a lovely darker magenta in the center of the glass. |
---|---|
Smell: | Lovely aromatics of sweet red fruit, highlighted by dark cherry and wild strawberry, leap from the glass. These are quickly trailed by hints of sandalwood, warm baking spices, black peppercorn, and hints of violet and other dried flower petals. |
Taste: | Rich, luscious, and everything you love in a Zinfandel. Juicy fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry, and boysenberry are framed by notes of cedar wood, subtle sweet tobacco leaf, clove, anise, black peppercorn, and a touch of cranberry tartness. |
Finish: | A truly impressive wine: incredibly well rounded with each flavor element in perfect balance. The juicy fruit flavors linger through the finish, with a hint of dark spice remaining on the very tip of your tongue. |
Pairing: | A perfect companion to Southern pulled pork, slow roasted and served with a tangy sauce slathered overtop. |
