Vice Versa Wines
2011 Le Petit Vice Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon •Beckstoffer and Stagecoach
California: Napa Valley
Today’s Vice Versa Wines 2011 Le Petit Vice Cabernet Sauvignon is a deliciously rich Cab that just happened to be crafted by the man, the myth, the legend: Mister Paul Hobbs.
Paul Hobbs had some amazing fruit to work with in crafting today’s wine, with grapes sourced from the Beckstoffer Las Piedras, Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, Beckstoffer To Kalon and Stagecoach vineyards. Wines from these legendary vineyards typically receive scores upwards of 95+ Points - with prices to match. While today’s wine has not yet been scored by the wine press - the price is an incredible $49.99.
We strongly recommend today’s wine for any serious Napa Cab lovers out there. You won’t be disappointed!
Midnight crimson through and through, with subtle flecks of red: the color that comes to mind when thinking of a robust red wine.
Dark and brooding aromas of dark plum, black cherry, red and black currants, sweet tobacco leaf, and dried herbes de Provence clearly present themselves upon first pour. Once the wine opens, notes of cassis, coffee bean, and lavender join the aromatic party.
Incredibly concentrated, with robust, delicious flavors that wonderfully coat the mouth. Flavors of black cherry, braised plum, and blackberry compote mingle with dark baking spices, black peppercorn, cedar wood cigar box, and softly tilled earth. This wine drinks beautifully now, but with this concentrated of a flavor profile, it shows incredible cellaring promise.
Best decanted, this wine does best when given a little time to breathe. Once the wine has opened up, you’ll be treated to an incredibly soft and delicious Cab, with great structure and velvety, grippy tannins.
Perfectly grilled filet mignon, served with a rich cherry balsamic glaze overtop.
