Mission Briefing

Rudy Tuesday

Today’s von Strasser Winery 2013 Rudy Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc is a welcome return for one of our favorite winemakers, Rudy von Strasser. With Rudy’s wines normally going for upwards of $100, Agent Red was once again able to wrangle a spectacular deal for our Operatives!

This wine is bright, crisp, and wonderfully refreshing, and after the winter many have had across the country, is just what you need - a lovely reminder that Spring and Summer are here. After tasting this Sauvignon Blanc, many on our tasting panel couldn’t wait to enjoy this gem while sitting on the porch soaking up some sun. On a warm day, this wine is exactly what you’re looking for!

Better act fast, dear Operatives - at under $18.00, this wine will sell out fast!

Tasting Profile

A super crisp and beautifully clean pale straw yellow that clings to the glass after a hearty swirl.

Bright, fresh, and wonderfully fruity aromatics of guava, pineapple, green apple, and nectarine are paired with creamy honeycomb, lemongrass, lime flower, hints of dried herbs, and a touch of minerality.

Very well rounded on the palate, with full flavors that more than deliver on the promise of the nose. Hints of tropical and fresh white fruit mingle with sweet grass, chalky minerality, and a touch of creamed honey to create one delicious flavor profile.

The flavors linger on this Sauv Blanc, with a lovely light acidity that clings to the edges of the palate and a hint of honey that remains as the other flavors fade away.

Mediterranean-spiced white fish and leek summer stew.
