Joe began his winemaking career overseas, learning the craft at such prestigious wineries as Wiengut Erbhof Tesch in Germany and Domaine G. Roumier in Burgundy. After returning home to Oregon, Joe set about crafting a winemaking philosophy that marries the lessons he learned overseas with the fantastic fruit found near his home in the Willamette Valley. This philosophy results in wines like today’s - clearly influenced by the Old World, with strong elements of structure and terroir, but balanced by aspects of the New World, with deep fruit flavors and bold spice.
