Mission Codename You're turning violet, Violet!
Today’s Burgess Cellars 2010 Napa Valley Petit Verdot is a limited production gem from one of our favorite wineries. Be sure to prepare yourself for this one: you will be astounded with this wine!
This wine is incredibly elegant, full of dark cherry, sweet tobacco leaf, and hints of lavender. What truly amazed us was its level of refinement. The finish is incredibly smooth and well balanced, which isn’t what usually comes to mind with this varietal.
Burgess Cellars only made 40 cases of today’s stunner, and our Agent Red managed to get his hands on most of them. This wine will sell out, so be sure to act fast!

Tasting Profile
| Look | Inky, foreboding dark scarlet at the heart of the glass, with only a glint of a lighter edge. |

| Smell | Aromatic fresh fruit notes of raspberry, boysenberry, and blueberry lead the way on this delightful wine. Exotic elements of cardamom and subtle Indian spices are quickly trailed by notes of herbal black tea and subtle fresh floral hints of lilac. |
| Taste | Very well balanced on the palate, with dark cherry, blackberry, and red currant laid overtop subtle sweet tobacco leaf, lavender, dark chocolate, espresso bean, and a touch of subtle oak spice. |
| Finish | Refined and very elegant in the glass, the finish is nicely balanced with soft tannins and a hint of acid, making this wine a perfect pairing for a variety of foods. |
| Pairing | We paired ours with a Greek herb-rubbed roast leg of lamb. |
