2013 Sonoma County Pinot Noir
California: Sonoma County
Thomas Henry is back with today’s delightful 2013 Sonoma County Pinot Noir.
At only $17.50, today’s wine is one fantastic deal. Well balanced, with plenty fresh fruit and a zippy acidity, this Pinot is an excellent companion to a wide variety of summer meal choices. We paired our with a Niçoise salad and it wowed our entire dinner party.
This wine is bright, approachable and well-balanced. For the money, this Pinot Noir really delivers. And at today’s price, this wine won’t last the day.
Very reminiscent of a ripe pomegranate seed at its heart, with a slight lightening as it edges toward the rim.
Delightful aromas of fresh blackberry, black cherry, and mulberry mingle with orange blossom, ruby red grapefruit zest, subtle toasted oak, and white peppercorn.
An easy sipper without any rough edges whatsoever. Pleasant fruity notes of ruby red grapefruit, wild strawberries, and fresh dark berries lead the way, with cherry red licorice, lime flower, and white tea rounding out the palate.
Very approachable and a tremendous drinking experience for the price, today’s wine is has a zippy acidity on the finish that gives a slight pucker to the edges of the tongue.
A Niçoise salad with grilled vegetables and a basil-mustard vinaigrette.
