Mission Briefing
The Thrifty Cult
We love being surprised by wines. And that’s exactly what happened with today’s Cult Wines Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
As Wine Enthusiast mentions in their 90 Point review, today’s wine more than holds its own against far pricier Napa Cabs. We loved how the juiciness of the fruit flavors played again the touches of structure and tannin. This is an incredibly approachable wine, with a kick of complexity to keep things interesting.
Don’t hesitate to stock up on today’s wine - you’re friends won’t believe it was just $21.99. It can be our little secret!
Tasting Profile
Look: | Lovely dark crimson, akin to ripe dark cherry with a drizzle of chocolate. |
---|---|
Smell: | Full of juicy, fresh fruit and toasty oak, with black cherry and blackberries laid overtop oak, sandalwood, brown baking spices, baker’s chocolate, and dried rose petals. |
Taste: | Fruity, fruity, fruity! Today’s Cab is packed with fresh black cherry and dark berries, with added notes of smoky sandalwood, clove, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and lightly roasted coffee bean. |
Finish: | A rather approachable Napa Cab, soft upon entry with a pleasant structure and just a touch of velvety tannins. |
Pairing: | A gourmet burger, grilled just the way you like it and topped off with cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and your own special sauce. |
