Mission Briefing

The Everyday Extraordinary

Today’s 2011 The Tillerman Red Blend is a scrumptious blend from our friends at Hook & Ladder Vineyards.

Today’s wine is a hearty blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (43%), Cabernet Franc (23%), Sangiovese (18%) and Merlot (16%). With rich fruit flavors and a delicate mouthfeel, today’s wine works well as a meal pairing option, and just as beautifully as an everyday sipper. We enjoyed ours with friends around the BBQ and, let us tell you, quite a few bottles of today’s fantastic wine were polished off.

Please enjoy our heartiest recommendation for today’s exceptionally approachable blend.

Tasting Profile

Robust crimson, with a swirl of dark, inky black cherry red

Juicy, perfectly ripened dark berry aromas leap out and say hello upon first pour. These notes are joined by zesty earth, tobacco, sage, clove, espresso, and cocoa powder.

Very well balanced flavors, with lovely touches of earth, spice, and fruit. Blackberry, black raspberry, and red cherry are laid overtop sweet tobacco leaf, sandalwood, black peppercorn, dark baking spices, and a bit of smoky wood fire.

Today’s wine has fantastic structure and a silken mouthfeel, all in a very approachable package. A seriously tremendous value.

A perfect companion to a grilled gourmet burger, with blue cheese, balsamic glazed onions, and fresh veggies.
