2011 Rockpile Road Westphall Ridge Vineyard Zinfandel

Today’s Rock Wall Wine Co. 2011 Rockpile Road Westphall Ridge Vineyard Zinfandel is a steal at our price of just $[REDACTED] (that’s [REDACTED]% off!).
Today’s wine was crafted by Kent & Shauna Rosenblum, famous for their first venture: Rosenblum Cellars, which happens to make some of my favorite Zins. In today’s wine, they’ve taken their Zin expertise and combined with the excellent fruit from the Rockpile Road Westphall Ridge Vineyard, which is carefully tended by the Mauritson Wines Family.
Don’t miss this exceptional 91 Point (Wine Spectator) Zin. Cheers!
A toasty black cherry through and through.
Delightfully aromatic, with fresh blackberry and boysenberry joining rosemary, vanilla bean, dried blueberry, sage, tobacco leaf, and an undercurrent of Rockpile minerality.
Gentle, elegant flavors present themselves beautifully on the palate. Juicy dark berries and black cherry mingle with sweet tobacco leaf, pomegranate herbal tea, a touch of toasty oak, Baker’s chocolate, black peppercorn, and soft dark baking spice.
Refined, with a splendid silken mouthfeel. The juicy fruit notes are joined by very fine tannins on the finish.
Garlic and rosemary encrusted lamb chops, prepared over a charcoal grill.
