Luscious without bluster
Today’s Horse & Plow Winery 2012 The Gardener Russian River Valley Chardonnay is a classic RRV Chardonnay that our Tasting Panel just couldn’t get enough of.
Crisp, delightful flavors of tangerine and white peach shine through, perfectly highlighting the quality of the fruit in today’s Chardonnay. Wine Enthusiast loved it as much as we did, awarding it 92 Points.
If you love a classic, rich, balanced Chardonnay with a bit of weight, please accept this wine with our hearty recommendation.
A beautiful golden hue throughout, and ever so slightly more viscous than we expected.
Crisply aromatic, with clear aromas of white peach, pineapple, and green apple abutting lime flower, Meyer lemon zest, a touch of vanilla bean, hazelnut, and just a kiss of toasty oak.
Delightful flavors that are very similar to the aromas promised on the nose. Bright notes of pear and tangerine are laid overtop lemon curd, lemon oil, roasted hazelnut, and toasty oak.
A sure crowd pleaser. Today’s wine is well rounded, with a delightful balance between acidity and viscosity that’s sure to satisfy Chard fans.
Fresh fig, prosciutto, and arugula salad with Parmesan shavings.
