Prepare to be blown away by today’s Miro Cellars 2012 Silverwood Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.
The San Francisco International Wine Competition went crazy for today’s wine, awarding it 95 Points and a Double Gold Medal. Our tasting panel couldn’t have agreed more, with members praising the deep notes of mountain fruit and earth. Once again, Miro has crafted a wine that we just couldn’t put down!
Please accept our boldest recommendation for today’s outstanding wine. Cheers!
Tasting Profile
Look: | An inky, midnight scarlet at its core, with a faint hint of ruby along the edge. |
---|---|
Smell: | On the nose, notes of pure mountain fruit leap from the glass. These rich dark fruit flavors are joined by notes of wild sage, chaparral, Mexican baking chocolate, saddle leather, and a glimmer of cherry red licorice. |
Taste: | Deep fruit flavors of fresh black raspberry, black cherry, and mulberry are laid overtop mountain brush, sweet tobacco leaf, cherry cola, clove, black peppercorn, and dark roasted espresso bean. |
Finish: | Long and lingering on the finish, with touches of well integrated, velvety tannins and a pleasant acidity. Drinking beautifully now, this wine will age beautifully. |
Pairing: | Grilled skirt steak, served with a mushroom-red wine reduction drizzled overtop. |
