True & Daring Wines
2007 Richter Reserve Estate Riesling
Riesling •Annabrook Vineyard

When we came across today’s True & Daring Wines 2007 Richter Reserve Estate Riesling, we didn’t quite know what we were in for. Boy, we were in for a treat!
From the first initial pour, we quickly realized that today’s white wine still has it. A beautiful honey gold in the glass, today’s wine still has that delightful acidic pop that you hope for. The wine also has delicately nuanced flavors that have been allowed to age and progress to perfection while in the bottle. The soft golden fruit and citrus flavors immediately have us thinking of Thanksgiving dinner, and our Tasting Panel decided that today’s wine would be the ideal choice to have on your table this holiday season.
Please hurry, as this under $15 crowd pleaser is selling fast.
A sunny golden yellow, nearly to honey. There’s a touch of viscosity after you give it a swirl in the glass.
Beautifully aromatic, with white fruity notes of peach and pear framed against yellow grapefruit, lime leaf, and a fantastic undertone of graphite minerality.
Very subtle and quite elegant flavors present themselves on today’s wine, well balanced between fruit and citrus. Peach and golden apple mingle with white peach pit, grapefruit zest, honeycomb, and orange oil.
With bright acidity and elegant, nuanced flavors, today’s wine is aging beautifully. There’s a touch of cassis and elderflower in the tail end of the finish.
Tuna tartare, served with black sesame oil, avocado, and paprika. If you’re feeling a little adventurous, you can serve the meal with some crispy shallots.
