Ty Caton Vineyards
2011 Sonoma Valley Ty's Red Wine
Red Blend •Caton Estate Vineyard
California: Sonoma County: Sonoma Valley
Today’s Ty Caton Vineyards 2011 Sonoma Valley Ty’s Red Wine is yet another stunning wine from one of our favorite winemakers. This wine is a sassy, juicy, flavor-packed and downright fun blend that my whole tasting panel simply loved.
If you are in the market for a very approachable, very quaffable, very easy-drinking wine, you’ve found it. This is the sort of wine that encourages you to take gulp after generous gulp.
Dark cherry crimson, with glints of inky, darker purple spread throughout.
Soft and voluptuous, with bright red fruit flavors paired with soft summer earth, leather, dried boysenberry, bramble, clove, and black peppercorn.
Deliciously fruit driven, with ripened blackberry, boysenberry, and black raspberry shining through. These strong fruit flavors are blended with hints of sandalwood, milk chocolate, coffee bean, homemade caramel, and a touch of sassafras.
Approachable and oh-so-delightful, this fruit-forward gem has just a touch of complexity and fine tannin structure.
A gourmet grilled burger topped with smoked gouda, pickles, and homemade special sauce.
