Mission Codename Born Latour

Ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon from a high elevation Alexander Valley vineyard in the hands of winemaker Denis Malbec (Kapscandy, Notre Vin) - a winemaker who was born at Chateau Latour. Robert Parker scored previous vintages (2006-07) 91-93 pts., and commented that the wines had 15+ years. The 2009 is young and stunning. A first-growth style wine indeed. We couldn’t resist!

“A complex Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of dark fruits, mineral and wild sage. The flavors are deep and rich, highlighted by memorable notes of briary blackberry, dark cherry, licorice, chewy tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, explosive finish. For food pairings, try this delicious wine with blue cheese, grilled vegetables, roasted duck breast, rack of lamb, and slow-cooked Beef Bourguignon.” - Score: 94 points Christopher Sawyer, Sommelier and Wine Critic
