Mission Codename The Infinite
Starting with the 2006 vintage of this wine, we’ve tasted all successive vintages. Not only is this 2011 the best of the bunch, today’s Ottimino 2011 Rancho Bello Vineyard Zinfandel is the best Zin that we’ve had the good fortune to taste all this year!
Winegrower Brad Alper and winemaker Bill Knuttle make a formidable team. The sole focus of their Ottimino label is on the noble Zinfandel varietal - and wow, do they nail it!
Today’s wine is lush, layered, aromatic and so very delicious.
Ottimino allowed us exclusive access to their library, but there isn’t very much of this fantastic wine left. Zinfandel lovers are encouraged to take advantage while they can.
