Which is exactly why we are so psyched to offer this tiny 3 barrel production Cab from a primo Mount Veeder vineyard. Only 79 cases exist! We leaped at the opportunity to offer it despite the lack of many available cases.

After tasting many dozens of 2011 Napa Valley Cabs, what’s very clear is that the mountains had the best results. The valley floor fruit that makes up the majority of the Napa Valley’s output struggled to overcome the cool wet weather patterns. Vineyards north of 1000ft were able to dry out and even catch some rays above the damper floor conditions. Plus, mountain grown fruit is by training lower yielding, meaning the vines don’t panic much when they need to tough out a bad weather pattern. This is high quality Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, make no mistake.

Cellar this for up 20 years, or serve it up in a carafe with lamb sausages. It’s a classic Mount Veeder Cabernet with immediate and long-term appeal.
