Besserat de Bellefon
"Cuvee de Moines" Brut Rose Champagne
In the Name of Love
In an ideal world, Rose Champagne would flow for reasons that don’t always require a celebration. For example, what to pair with potato chips while making dinner? Rose Champagne is a terrific option. But it never seems more appropriate than when it’s just you two.
“This mouthwatering, finely knit rose offers tangy notes of macerated plum and dried cherry fruit, layered with a chalky undertow and hints of toasted brioche, almond skin and honey. Focused and vibrant without being exuberant. Drink now through 2020.”
– 92 points, Wine Spectator, Nov 2014
Shy red fruits of strawberry, cranberry, cherry leanings. Cookie crumbs. Chalk. Geranium.
Mouthwatering pale red fruits flirting with a steady stream of tiny elegant bubbles that could only be from Champagne. Soft and creamy mousse.
Dry with a soft creamy finish. Crisp and clean.
This wine is made for food, and the red grapes that make it give it the ability to match up to a bird dinner, pan seared trout, or sushi for starters. Before, after, or during food. Don’t think too hard, just roll with it.
