Mission Briefing
The Lover
It has been a few years since we have shown a French Rosé Champagne, so when our tasting panel reviewed this gem, we were unanimous in our declaration that this is one fantastic bubbly!
Charles de Cazanove was founded in 1811, making it one of Champagne’s oldest and most recognized small and specialized Champagne houses in the region.
Today’s gorgeous Rosé Champagne is a lovely wine that is soft and voluptuous on the palate. The wine is generous on the nose and it presents plenty of bright fruit all across the palate. Any Champagne lover will delight in this very special and very highly recommended wine.
Tasting Profile
Look: | A beautiful, rich salmon pink color, with a lovely plume of tiny bubbles trailing up the glass. |
---|---|
Smell: | Very aromatic, with sweet plum compote, fresh strawberry, dried cherry, rose petals, and a subtle sweet spice. |
Taste: | Absolutely lovely on the palate, with fresh strawberry and cherry mingling with dried currant, orange zest, a touch of pomegranate, and a hint of minerality. |
Finish: | The fine mouse that initially plumes on the palate shuttles flavors to the far corners before they slowly fade away, leaving the palate refreshed and invigorated. |
Pairing: | A traditional charcuterie plate before the meal would be absolutely spectacular with this wine. |
