Kitchen Situation

This Central Coast Cab is a delightful, value-minded super QPR wine that over delivers at this price point. This wine is approachable, juicy and lighthearted - without being boring or simple. If you are looking for a good daily-drinker that won’t break the bank, you’ll enjoy this lovely little gem.

Tasting Profile

Look:

A very pretty dark crimson through and through, with a touch of a ruby ring as you peer through the side of the glass.

Smell:

Delightful aromas of dark red fruit lead the way, highlighted by dark raspberry, black cherry, and mulberry. These fruity flavors are joined by hints of cassis, dried blueberry, coffee bean, rosemary, and clove. A lovely smoky element also presents itself, and is a wonderful reminder of a summertime barbecue.

Taste:

On the palate, clear notes of black cherry, blackberry, dried blueberry, and dark chocolate are framed by toasted oak, espresso bean, subtle mesquite smoke, slight dark chocolate, and a herbal note of rosemary and sage.

Finish:

Incredibly smooth and approachable, this easy drinker has a lengthy finish highlighted by juicy fruit flavors and velvety tannins.

Pairing:

Perfect wine for a homemade burger on the grill. We put ours together with some aged cheddar, secret sauce, caramlized onions, and loads of fresh veggies.
