2010 Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir •Doctor's Vineyard
California: Mendocino County: Anderson Valley
Those in the know about Monterey County Pinot Noir will instantly recognize the Doctor’s Vineyard name. Doctor’s Vineyard has been synonymous with quality luxury Pinot Noir for many years. The vineyard is certainly one of the most celebrated sites in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA.
Today’s Highflyer 2010 Pinot Noir is one of the finer Pinots that we’ve tasted from this region and the best we’ve had from this historic vineyard site. If you don’t love it, we’ll buy it back from you - and drink it ourselves! It is that good!
Deep ruby red with perfectly clarity through the slightly darker crimson heart of the wine.
Bold cherry, young strawberry, raspberry, sweet spice, loamy earth, sweet cedar and a hint of vanilla.
Rich cherry and blackberry juice, black tea, wild mushroom, red plum, cassis and cranberry, with sweet spice, sweetwood and a touch of dark minerality.
Super long and mouthwatering, with supple tannins and long lingering red fruit.
Enjoy this wine as a summertime aperitif - or with almost any pork or red meat dish, particularly those with a sweet or fruit glaze.
