Mission Codename Ça roule!
Today’s Lancaster Estate 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is a truly fantastic wine, dear Operatives!
On the nose, the wine leads with dark berry reduction, tart cherry, sweet tobacco, mocha, and blackberry out front. As it opens up - with some swirling or decanting - it reveals sweet Rainier cherry, bramble, twigs & stems, baking spice and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is abundant and powerful, with black cherry, dried violets, cassis, blackberry, cigar box, raspberry jam and alpine strawberry with hints of flint and graphite.
This Cabernet is Alexander Valley all the way. The wine is elegant, flavor-packed, terrior-driven and so very delicious.
If you’re a fan of Silver Oak’s Cabernet, please note that today’s Lancaster Estate 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is far superior.
