Mission Briefing
Gleeful
Are you ready to fall in love? Today’s Deering Wine 2010 Maus Vineyard Zinfandel will steal your heart… and then break it, when your bottle is empty!
This wine is incredibly aromatic and it just bursts with flavor. Agent Red has forever been a huge fan of Deering and so, when he tasted today’s Maus Vineyard Zin, he nearly cried. He declared the wine to be one of the “… zinniest Zins…“ he’s ever tasted. We agree! This wine just screams varietal Zinfandel.
Fans of great Zin will not be disappointed by today’s wine. That is, unless their supply runs dry! Today’s wine is really something quite special.
Tasting Profile
Look: | Perfect garnet hues with perfect clarity, through and through. |
---|---|
Smell: | A rush of spiced plum and black cherry are followed by blackberry, blackberry bramble, sweet spice, blueberry preserve, sweetwood and a hint of caramelized sugar. |
Taste: | Bold black plum skin, black cherry and brown spice wrap around softer flavors of blueberry, Bing cherry, sweet Hibiscus, bramble and toasty oak. |
Finish: | Exceptionally long and slightly drying. Integrated tannins add a bit of dryness and intrigue at the very end. |
Pairing: | Enjoy this Zinny Zin with some zesty BBQ or grilled meats. We’ll be enjoying ours with a garlic and black pepper rubbed steak. |
