Today’s elegant wine is one of the best hidden gem Pinots we’ve tasted in recent memory. This 94 point delight is a gorgeous light ruby color. On the nose, it exudes balanced fresh fruit and earth. On the palate, too, with hints of wild mushroom and cassis.
We absolutely adore today’s Comptche Ridge 2012 Pinot Noir. We weren’t able to get a whole lot of this great wine, so we really encourage you to pick some up soon, before we sell out.
This is a beautifully made wine that is a wonderful solo-sipper, but we’re excited to serve it with a fine meal of fish, fowl or pork. A cherry glazed pork chop with this wine would be an incredible things.
If you love really fine Pinot Noir, this wine is offered to you with our bold recommendation!
Here’s what Antonio Galloni has to say about the wine:
“Wonderfully layered and sensual in the glass, the 2012 Comptche Ridge Pinot Noir is all about texture, silkiness and polish. Dark red cherry, plum, licorice, smoke and star anise are some of the many notes that grace the palate in this exquisite, layered Pinot. The 50% whole clusters add lift, but are also beautifully integrated.” - 94 points
