Today’s Coruce Vineyards 2009 Zinfandel was the sleeper hit of our recent tasting panel. When Agent Red revealed our selling price, everyone wanted a case or two. This Zinfandel is a sweet, juicy and delicious wine with an elegant feel and a port-like finish. You will want to stock up on this excellent BBQ wine.
Winemaker Bob Ballentine makes wine at Coruce, for his own popular Line Shack label, and for countless other small boutique producers in California. Bob makes fantastic wine and now he lends his golden hand to making the wonderful wines at Coruce.

Tasting Profile
Look: | Dark garnet. Slightly opaque at the core. |

Smell: | Sweet, stewed plum, blackberry, blueberry and black cherry with sweet spice, woodsy notes, sweet tobacco, bramble and cocoa powder. |
Taste: | Powerful and sweet with concentrated blackberry and blueberry jam flavors that are followed by black cherry liquor, brown spice, toasty oak, dried dark tobacco leaf, braised plum, cedar and a touch of fresh black pepper. |
Finish: | Extra long. Starts plush, elegant, soft and sweet and then goes toward earthy and savory notes with fine, drying tannins at the tail end. |
