She glows
Today’s 91 point (Wine Enthusiast Magazine) Fess Parker Winery 2013 Rodney’s Vineyard Viognier is one intriguing and delicious wine. Enjoy this wine while the weather’s still warm, but be sure to keep some on hand for the coming Fall holidays.
This fresh, bright white is a fabulous food companion - and we’ll be enjoying ours in the final days of summer, with grilled chicken or as an aperitif, with fresh fruits and hard cheeses. As Fall approaches, enjoy this wine with your festive holiday meals. Of course, any time of year would be the right time to enjoy it with a spicy Thai or Indian dish.
Shy right out of the chiller, allow this wine to warm even just a little and it springs to life, revealing aromas of Anjou pear, white peach, Hami melon, caramel, citrus flower, lemongrass and apricot. Bright and very refreshing, with flavors of pear, nectarine, apricot and Meyer lemon in the lead.
As the wine breathes and warms slightly, it unveils vanilla, honeysuckle, lemongrass, white peach, lime flower and the subtlest hint of soft white pepper at the very end.
This Viognier is highly recommended and highly prized by us here at Wine Spies HQ. We hope that you have a chance to try this great wine.
