This dark, but super fragrant wine starts with softly smoky black cherry in the lead. A rush of aromas follow on, including blackberry, black currant, strawberry jam, licorice, Mission fig, dried cranberry, dark spice and a hint of black pepper.

On the palate you will find blackberry, black cherry and crème de cassis, quickly joined by black truffle, earth, pan seared cherry, sweet spice, oak and cracked pepper. The finish is ultra long, with all flavors fading slowly and in equal proportion. At the very end, a hint of piquant black pepper makes the mouth water.
