Chalk Hill Estate
2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
California: Sonoma County: Sonoma Coast
Today’s wine is worth every penny of its normal $48.00 price. At 50% off, well, the wine is an extraordinary value. Chalk Hill has crafted one of the most fruit-forward and delicious 2013 Pinot Noirs we have ever tasted. This wine is fruit packed, balanced and just plain fun to drink! Hurry, though… we expect this wine to sell out before the day ends.
Even though this is a fruit-forward Pinot, it is also very balanced, with enough complexity to make the wine really interesting. Fruit, earth and spice components coexist in perfect proportion and the mouthfeel is plump and elegant. We’re going to enjoy our bottles in a wide range of circumstances, from solo-sipping to fine dining. This bright wine is very well suited to elegant food pairings.
On the nose, the wine is heady and full with aromas of black cherry, cranberry, sandalwood, cedar, cherry bark, forest floor and a hint of sweet spice. It bursts onto the palate with juicy flavors of Bing cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, cranberry and red currant, followed by cedar, cherry wood, kola nut, dry forest floor and sweet spice.
Deep ruby red hues from the heart of the wine out to the wall of the glass.

Exceptionally long, with ultra fine tannins that grab onto the red fruits, keeping them center of palate for a long time.
Enjoy this delicious, flavorful wine with a roast chicken or a pork loin with cherry reduction.
