Mission Codename Rhapsody in Red
What do you get when you blend two of red wines most food friendly Bordeaux varietals… with fruit from the Napa Valley… made by a multi-award winning winemaker who cut his teeth at Keller Estate Winery? You get today’s truly delicious Singer Cellars 2012 The Rhapsody Red Blend.
Today’s wine is a perfectly balanced blend of Merlot (56%) and my favorite, Cabernet Franc (44%). These two varietals are, in Agent Red’s opinion, two of the most food friendly. And while this wine is a true gem of a food companion, we recommend that you also try it all on its own.
Deep and complex on the nose, with dark strawberry, black cherry, raspberry, toasted oak, sweet tobacco, spiced cedar, hard leather, mocha and dark spice.
On the palate, this wine is delicious, with a perfect balance of dark and bright fruit, led by black cherry juice that sits atop myriad flavors including smoky Alpine strawberry, cigar box, dusty earth, dark spice, cocoa powder, flint and cracked pepper.
At 45% off, this wine is expected to sell out today, so please don’t miss this rare opportunity to sample a really special Napa Valley red blend.
