Mission Codename The Covert Giant
Last year we featured Yao Ming’s incredible Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. That wine sells for $115. Until now, that was his budget option. You see, his Reserve Cabernet sells for an astronomical $625 per bottle. You don’t have to pay $650 or even $115 for a stellar Yao Ming wine, though. You see, we have Yao’s 2012 Napa Valley Red Wine from his covert sister label, House of Cards.
This wine is very fragrant, opulent and rich on the nose, with layers of red fruit, black fruit, earth and spice, leading with Black cherry, blackberry, red currant, cranberry, strawberry and cigar box. As the wine opens up, it unveils sweet tobacco, dried meat, spice, subtle baker’s chocolate and a very subtle hint of savory dried herbs.
Deeply flavorful, juicy and very delicious, with juicy red and black fruit that bursts forth on the palate. Black currant, raspberry, Bing cherry, strawberry and blackberry take the lead. These are followed by cranberry, cocoa powder, tobacco leaf, subtle sweet spice and a slate minerality.
At just $22.99, we expect today’s wine to sell out long before the clock strikes midnight, please be sure to acquire yours soon. Today’s very highly recommended wine is a slam dunk!
