Mission Briefing
Winemaker of the Year
2010 was the last year that Helen Turley - named Winemaker of the Year by Wine Spectator Magazine’s editor in Chief, James Laube - made wines at Martinelli Winery.
One sip of today’s Martinelli Winery 2010 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and you’ll taste the influence and experience of Ms. Turley. This delectable Pinot Noir shows all of the poise and balance of a Pinot of this class. Fortunately, you don’t have to pay the first-class price of $50 for this great wine. I’m proud to make this impressive wine available to you for under $30.
On the nose, this wine exudes Pinot-perfect aromas of cherry, wild mushroom, forest floor, wild strawberry, red licorice, red currant, cola, supple leather and soft, sweet cedar.
On the palate, the wine is bright and juicy on entry with Bing cherry and wild strawberry presenting at the edges of the palate. As the wine settles onto the tongue, it shows flavors of blackberry, black cherry, red currant, cranberry, mild forest floor, subtle wild mushroom and vanilla oak.
Take this wine with you to your next dinner party - and show off your good taste and excellent wine-buying skills!
